Photo Reprinted Courtesy of The Criterion (Link Below) The Italian Street Festival features over 25 different Italian meats, pastas, salads & desserts! There is live music and dancing, and games for everyone. The Street Festival takes place in early June (June 12 and 13 for 2009) at the corner of East Street and Stevens Street, here in Indianapolis, each year. So come and join us as we celebrate our Italian heritage.
On the Saturday of the festival, there is an early afternoon mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Later in the day a colorful, Italian religious procession takes place which is followed by a second mass. The Catholic Choir of Indianapolis has previously sung for these masses. In 2008, the Master's Chorale of Indianapolis will be performing at both masses. Click Here to view the flyer for the 2009 event, or if you need directions, Click Here. See you at the Festival!
