16.06.2009 - The Indiana State House in Indianapolis will host "The Wonder of Learning" exhibit from July 17 -December 18, 2009.

16.06.2009 - From birth, children use many "languages," such as art, music, play, drama and literacy, to learn about and make meaning of the world. To help educators, parents and other advocates for children to better understand the powerful learning that occurs in early childhood, the world-renowned Reggio Emilia approach to education gives visibility to the values of its experience through an interactive traveling exhibit, "The Wonder of Learning - The Hundred Languages of Children"

"The Wonder of Learning" exhibit will be located in the Atrium of the Indiana State House in Indianapolis from July 17 -December 18, 2009. Indianapolis is the first Midwestern venue and the third North American community to host this exhibit. Exhibition sponsors include the Indianapolis Reggio Collaborative and a broad coalition of educational and civic partners. Admission to the exhibit is free and it is open during State House business hours. Exhibit organizers will also offer a series of workshops and conferences addressing the integration of the visual arts in classrooms and issues of diversity, social justice and equity in early childhood education. Among these professional development initiatives will be the conference, "Dialogues for Quality in Education: Social Justice in Diverse Early Childhood Settings" on September 25-27, featuring two educators from Reggio Emilia, Italy as keynote speakers.

This initiative is offered by Reggio Children in collaboration with NAREA (North American Reggio Emilia Alliance) and hosted in Indianapolis by:
